Electric Locomotives

class70

Class 70 Locomotive

Model of 20003 from various resources collected from the net. There will be a lot of errors as 20003 changed several times through its life. All variants modeled, there are some variants which are also modeled that 20003 did not appear in, such as bag pipes and BR Blue livery. 20003 never wore anything beyond BR Blue and was scrapped by 1968

Includes body (and variants), cab, bogie and enginespecs.

Multiple Units

class477

Class 477 EMU

A set of fictional units that are good in urban settings. 2 high capacity variants for areas with high traffic flows and a 3 car articulated version for long distance use. These units were designed for specific challenges to see how design ideas would work in a virtual setting.

Includes several coaches (with variants), cab, bogie and enginespecs.

Correct formations:
Class 477 HC Cat Spec and Standard HC: Minimun 5 coaches - DMS-MS-PTS-MS-DMS. Use TS and MS(A) and MS(B) for longer trains, e.g.  DMS-MS(A)-TS-MS(A)-MS(B)-PTS-MS(A)-DMS
Class 477 Cat Spec Artic: DMC-PMS-DMC

Class 503 EMU

An WIP model depicting LMS Wirral Line stock (later Class 503) that ran on Merseyside lines between 1938 and 1985. These were largely replaced by newer units in the 1980s. One preserved and a lot of references are based on the preserved unit. There are some inaccuracies due to limitations of the Trainz Jet engine and the T2 TANE engine. E.g. the EP brakes work differently than the self lapping style brakes. The model is based of the 1956 batch

Includes 3 coaches with emergency end doors, cab, bogie and enginespecs.

Correct formation:
DMBS-TC(or TS)-DTS
When dragged for works attention, the DMBS and DTC would be coupled together as the driving coaches did not have drophead buckeye couplings, the inner ends had screw link couplings, suitable for locomotive haulage.

lnercoaches

LNER Teak Open coaches

I built this model mostly in 2002, but never saw Trainz for another 15 years. Only ever wanted to build the open variants, so here are 2. Tourist Open First and Tourist Open Third, both in BR Blue and Grey livery. The third has been bump mapped and modified to suit. The first is lacking these features at present.

Includes 2 coaches

4wheelcoach

Generic 4 Wheel coaches

Most of the reference of these came out of modeling books. These are not based on any particular prototype, but a mix of several. Current coaches are compartment third and brake compartment third. Painted in Southern Railway livery, also features bump mapping. There is so many different variations, its almost impossible to model all variants.

Includes 2 coaches and bogies

(Updated) Westinghouse C-100 Automated People Mover

I guess it counts as some sort of train as these are guided vehicles and work in multiple. These APMs can be found in several places, mostly airports, but Miami, USA and Singapore, Thaliland also use these or a variant in urban settings. Many other systems use similar vehicles for urban mass transport systems which ironically was the initial idea. In fact, the first one was built on a test track in the 1960’s to get funding for the Pittsburgh, USA skybus project. (Sadly, the project was doomed for political reasons but found its first installation in Tampa Airport, USA)

Includes body, cab and bogies.

Unlike the original model on Berkshire Trainz, this one is now skinnable for any colour you like. Also includes bump mapping
